Description |
---|
A film that examines what happens when one town's quest for stability encounters the nation's search for a place to bury high level radioactive waste. Most Nevadans and their legislators strongly oppose nuclear storage in their state, but in Tonopah many feel differently prefering to think of it as a nuclear resource, which they hope will help Tonopah climb out of its latest economic slump. Now the town's search for survival and the nation's search for a nuclear waste dump are meeting in the Yucca Mountain Project ... in a hollowed out mountain in Tonopah's backyard. |
