Iraqi Refugee Interview of Rahman AlKaabi.

Description

David Harris picks up on the story of Rahman the mime and clown. We learn more about how the troupe was disbanded because of the sectarian violence and his fellow actors killed. Rahman feels alone since his older brother who led their clown troupe has fled to Egypt, and his friends killed. He makes the decision to go to Syria with a friend and troupe member. He is successful and finds work with the UNHC for refugees and performs in the refugee camps for Iraqis. Finally, he meets the Iraq Student Project, and is sponsored to come to the U.S. to attend college. Rahman is working hard to become a professional mime and clown in the U.S.
