Amel was a journalist in Iraq. When the war broke out she was in Syria, but her husband who was also a journalist went back to Iraq. She never saw him again. She had just arrived during this interview and was saddened by everything she had witnessed as an Iraqi. As a journalist she was aware of many underlying stories of what was happening between the U.S. and Iraqis and the different sectarian groups that emerged. |
