Endemic is led by Clark Thenhaus. Thenhaus is a recipient of the 2015 Architectural League Prize for Young Architects & Designers, a 2014 MacDowell Art Colony Fellow, and was previously the 2013-2014 Willard A. Oberdick Fellow at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning. Thenhaus currently holds the full time Visiting Faculty position at the California College of the Arts (CCA) and has previously held teaching appointments at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), University of Colorado, and Otis College of Art and Design. Thenhaus earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied as the recipient of the three-year Fideli Fellowship and was awarded the Dales Scholarship. His work has been widely published and Endemic's work has been exhibited in New York City, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Cleveland, St. Louis, and Ann Arbor among other places. Prior to founding Endemic, Thenhaus was a job captain at Griffin Enright Architects in Los Angeles for local and international design and construction projects, as well as a design team member on numerous projects. |
