RICHARD ROTHESTEIN: THE COLOR OF LAW THURSDAY, 09/28/17 5:30-8:30 PM Richard Rothstein is a Research Associate of the Economic Policy Institute, a Senior Fellow at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, a Senior Fellow at the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society, and a Senior Fellow at the Chief Justice Earl Warren Institute on Law and Social Policy at the UC Berkeley School of Law. Richard Rothstein will be talking about his new book, The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How our Government Segregated America, followed by a discussion with Terner Center Faculty Director Carol Galante. "The Color of Law" examines the forgotten history of how federal, state, and local governments explicitly segregated metropolitan areas nationwide, creating racially homogeneous neighborhoods in violation of the Constitution. |
