Founded by Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu in 2008, SO-IL is an idea driven design office. With a global reach, it brings together extensive experience from the fields of architecture, academia and the arts. A creative catalyst involved in all scales and stages of the architectural process, SO-IL approaches projects with an intellectual and artistic rigor fueled by a strong commitment to realizing their ideas in the world. Recent projects include Grand Canopy at UC Davis, the Frieze Art Fair NYC 2012 and the Kukje Art Center, in Seoul. Florian Idenburg holds a MSc. in Architecture from Delft University of Technology. Prior to founding SO-IL, Idenburg gained eight years of experience at the practice of Pritzker laureates Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA. Idenburg is Associate Professor in Practice of Architecture at Harvard's Graduate School of Design. |
