A founding partner of San Francisco-based landscape architecture firm Surfacedesign, James Lord is responsible for the design of many of the firm’s award-winning projects. Mr. Lord lectures widely both at home and abroad about Surfacedesign’s work. He has also served as a guest critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, U.C. Berkeley, C.C.A, U.S.C., Ohio State, and the University of New South Wales in Australia. He has served on the Harvard Alumni Council since 2004.
